I am currently employed as a Web Designer/Graphic Artist for Incredible
Technologies outside of Chicago, IL. Prior to starting I completed my last semester of graduate studies
at Purdue University’s College of Technology in December 2006, earning a Masters
of Science degree in Technology, Computer Graphics Technology. The focus of my studies was in usability and human
factors of design, development and implementation of web sites and
interactive multimedia. My
inspiration came while studying for my undergraduate degree in the
University of Cincinnati's College
of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning (DAAP). I received
a Bachelor of
Science in Design, Digital Design, in June 2004.
As a professional member of ACM
SIGGRAPH,
I am an active participant in the annual SIGGRAPH
International Conference on Computer
Graphics and Interactive Techniques, and have volunteered
my time and effort to the Student
Volunteers Program as
the 2003-2005 Administrative Assistant and 2006 Program Chair.
The Student Volunteer Committee coordinates the efforts of
over 350 student volunteers, an integral part of the conference
success.
I have had a passion for music and art from a very young age. I began
by drawing my favorite cartoon cartoon characters such as Snoopy and
Garfield and later started to create my own. I would jump at the chance
to do artistic projects and always volunteered to do the creative
portions of school projects. Design, too, has always been a favorite
hobby of mine with my first business of designing and creating hand-made
jewelry to sell at local craft shows. I have also done freelance design
work, including logo design and Web site design and development.
My love for music started in the first
grade when I began to take private lessons on the violin. I later learned how to play the flute and piccolo, participating in bands
from grade school through college and teaching music lessons to younger students at a local music store.
